Happy New Year
First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year. There's a lot of talk about 2016 being a terrible year but I have to say that simply isn't true for me and that's down to 3 main reasons.
- My awesome customers and followers who I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting at my market stands and engaging with on my social media channels.
- My relationship with my father and stepmother has grown to be everything I've ever wanted.
- I saved the best until last - I married the woman of my dreams a week ago!
These are all things that challenge me in one way or another and the start of a new year is often when we turn our attentions to how we can improve our lives by tackling the challenges that face us.
Photographers often decide to take on a challenge such as to take 1 photo a day, week or month. Sometimes we give ourselves a theme to follow with our photography to help us focus our minds rather than just taking a photo of any random thing you can. I find this can provide a greater sense of satisfaction when you are able to hit a more specific goal like conjuring up an idea for an image in your head and then going out and nailing it.
Whatever your photography challenges are, I'd love to hear about them in the comments below. And if you find yourself struggling for creativity then drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to subscribe to my mailing list. I'll be sure to send you regular messages to keep you inspired.
