Pleased to meet you
As a child I always enjoyed playing with cameras. I borrowed my Dad’s point and shoot digital camera when I was a teenager and he commented that I had a good eye for a photo but I never thought of doing much about it. I went on to join the Royal Navy, which is where I stayed for 10 years.
Fast forward to 2015, three years after I left the Navy, and a certain young lady, who was a friend at the time, asked me ‘if you could do any job in the world, what would it be?’ without hesitation I replied – ‘photographer’. The answer had been on my mind ever since Dad planted that seed all those years ago. Her response was ‘so why don’t you?’ Not long after that I bought my first DSLR camera and that ‘certain young lady’ is now my wife.
My desire to be outside dictated the genre of photography I was drawn to. I love exploring new places and sharing photos of the beautiful world we live in. I particularly enjoy being outside at sunrise, a very atmospheric and peaceful time of the day.
